Listen to a signal
A headband records electrical activity from the scalp. This is called EEG. It supplies a signal to the software.
SCIENCE WITH PEOPLE AT ITS HEART
We’re developing a new approach to chronic pain. Guided by brain signals. Driven by curiosity. Built around people.
An investigational device. Clinical benefit remains under study.

OUR APPROACH
Chronic pain is personal. Our research begins with that understanding.
Biocurrent brings together brain-signal sensing, software, and electrical stimulation through electrodes on the skin. We’re investigating how real-time feedback could guide stimulation for people living with chronic pain.
How the system works ↗
A signal.
A question.
A place to begin.
THE SCIENCE, SIMPLY
A headband records electrical activity from the scalp. This is called EEG. It supplies a signal to the software.
An AI model analyzes the signal and recommends changes to stimulation frequency, amplitude, timing, and waveform.
Surface electrodes deliver alternating current through the skin. Researchers record pain scores before and immediately after a session.
The study does not establish how EEG changes relate to pain outcomes. The proposed mechanism remains under investigation.
OUR CLINICAL RESEARCH
Our company-reported Phase II study compared Biocurrent with standard interferential current therapy (ICT) at one research site in Puerto Vallarta. Both groups received electrical stimulation.
Up to three sessions per participant. Company-provided manuscript dated September 24, 2026. Short-term observations, with no follow-up beyond the last session.
COMPANY-REPORTED PHASE II RESULTS
September 24, 2026From baseline to the last observed immediate post-session score. Up to three sessions.
Standard ICT is an active electrical-stimulation comparison, not an inert sham. These observations do not establish lasting relief, safety, or effectiveness.

BIOCURRENT V6FROM IDEA TO ENGINEERING
Behind the research is a real device, and a team working through the details. The V6 combines software-controlled stimulation with connected hardware.
This is our current development hardware. It is not presented as the specific device used in the reported study. Not available for commercial sale.

WHY WE STARTED
Andrew Blount founded Biocurrent in 2020 after years of living with chronic pain. That experience became a question worth investigating, and a reason to bring people, engineering, and research together.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Biocurrent is in development and is not available for commercial sale. This website does not offer treatment or enroll people in studies.
No. Biocurrent is not FDA-cleared or approved. Safety and effectiveness have not been established. We do not promise a regulatory pathway, decision, or launch date.
The company manuscript reports immediate pain-score reductions in both groups, with larger reported changes in the Biocurrent group. The study does not establish lasting relief or effectiveness for other populations.
